Rammstein may soon present new music: five new compositions have appeared in the Gema database
Rammstein fans have a good reason to expect new music. This week, five new compositions by the group were officially registered in the database of the German Copyright Management Society "Gema" (GEMA). Despite the fact that the musicians have not yet announced work on a new album or singles, such registrations are traditionally considered one of the first signs of preparation for a new stage of releases after the release of the album “Zeit” in 2022.
The list includes the songs “Yes No Rammstein (Ja Nein Rammstein)”, “We are we (Wir Sind Wir)”, “Better than (Besser Als)”, “If only, if only” (Hätte Hätte)" and "Be silent (Sei Still)". The composition “Yes No Rammstein (Ja Nein Rammstein)” is especially interesting, since this is the phrase that sounds in the chorus of the song “Ramm4 (Ramm4)”. This composition was performed repeatedly at concerts from 2016 to 2019, and then returned to the concert program again in 2024, but the official studio version has not yet been released.
The song “Sei Still” is of even greater interest. This name first appeared in 2018 during a creative session with the marketing agency Zebra, which helped develop the visual concept for the future album. A design sketch with this name was then created, inspired by the poster of the film Exodus: Gods and Kings, but the idea was never used. The remaining registered compositions have not been mentioned anywhere before, which increases the interest of fans in possible new material.
Founded in 1994 in Berlin, Rammstein has maintained the same lineup for more than three decades and remains one of the most influential bands in the Neue Deutsche Härte genre. There are no official announcements about the new release yet, but the registration of new songs has significantly increased the expectations of fans around the world.
